Films allow a much eaasier access to a foreign culture and language. With the film case “Cinemanya”, curated by festival director Michael Harbauer, the Goethe Institute provides German films for the media educational work with refugee children and adolescents. In December 2015 the film case was presented at the Astor Lounge in Berlin. Since then we realise film screenings all over Saxony - for example in March in Dresden, in the reception centre for immigrants in the Hamburger Straße, or in May at Valoki. In the film packages  there are two nonverbal short film programmes as well as 18 German films with Arabic subtitles or in dubbed version. The dubbing of the films was done in cooperation with the company Soundgarten GmbH in Leipzig.
