ComingSoon


The project ComingSoon once again invited national and international experts to take a first glimpse at future children's film hits from Germany and all over the world. Taking the current situation into account, the presenters had the opportunity to present their projects both physically and online. Professionals also had online access to ComingSoon.

The event for professionals took place in cooperation with the Creative Europe Desk Berlin-Brandenburg on Thursday, 15 October 2020 at 2.30 pm at the Hotel Chemnitzer Hof.

LAURAS STERN

Westside Filmproduktion GmbH (Germany)

The project will be presented by countess Maya Rothkirch (Producer Rothkirch Cartoon Film GmbH).

After moving to the big city, Laura misses her old home very much. Especially since she finds it difficult to make new friends. The tide is turning when one evening she meets a small star that has fallen from the sky - and a fantastic friendship begins.

SIHJA – THE REBEL FAIRY

The project will be presented by screenwriter Elli Toivoniemi (Producer Tuffi Films).

Sihja, a young, charming and a little outrageous fairy, leaves her home in the forest and makes friends with sensitive Alfred in the city. The two have a lot of fun together until one day dead birds appear on the streets and the friends give everything to find the reason for it.

BUTTERFLYMANIA

6ème Sens Production (France)

The film tells the story of a small caterpillar that dreams of becoming a butterfly. Therefore it goes on a journey into the fascinating world of insects, where the extraordinary inhabitants share their secrets, problems and joys.

NIGHT FOREST

The Project will be presented by Norman Bernien (Producer kurhaus production).

On the first day of the summer holidays Paul runs away from home. He and his best friend Max venture into the wilderness in search of a legendary cave. And as they make their way through the green labyrinth of the mountain forest, they are constantly facing new challenges.

THE APE STAR

The Project will be presented by Linda Hambäck (Producer LEE Film).

The orphan Jonna longs for a mother. When one day an old car stops in front of the orphanage and a gorilla adopts her, Jonnas wish seems to be finally fulfilled. But just as the two begin to become a family, they have to face unexpected challenges.

FEVER

La Forma Cine (Chile, Peru)

The Project will be presented by Michelle Bossy (Director of Photography La Forma Cine).

Nino is a spoiled child who is suddenly absorbed by a mysterious painting. His mother had warned him, but the magic makes him a prisoner of the painting. Now Nino has no other choice but to make his way through the labyrinth of pictures to find his way home.
