The winter holidays are just around the corner. Emma and Casper are already looking forward to going on vacation with their families. Casper’s family is planning a trip to Spain, where it is warm and they can go swimming. “Lion” is particularly looking forward to the summer temperatures because he does not like the cold. Emma will visit her grandparents in the mountains covered by lots of snow, where she can already practice for her skiing lessons and learn how to get down the slopes. Unfortunately, Casper’s holiday to Spain falls through because his mother has to work. His parents are upset about this and quarrel more and more often. Casper is very worried about this: Do mum and dad no longer love one another? Will they get divorced? He does not understand what is happening. He never argues with Emma, who spontaneously invites Casper and his sister Siri to go to her grandparents with her. On vacation they meet same-aged Petter, who impresses them with his outstanding skiing skills. Casper is jealous because Emma only has eyes for Petter, who is better than Casper at everything. It is the first dispute between the best friends and Casper is afraid of losing Emma. In order to win Emma back, Casper forges out an adventurous and daring plan and ventures a risky jump.
