Maria Isabel dos Santos, known to everyone as Bebel, lives with her mother Mariana and her grandfather Juca far from the city. The 15-year-old is in a wheelchair, but this does not stop her from leading a self-determined life and campaigning for a better world, more environmental awareness and climate protection. Just like her great idol Greta Thunberg. But now Bebel is going to a new school in the city. It is hard for her to say goodbye, but she quickly finds new friends in her classmate Zico and her cousin Beto. Her selfish classmate Rochane, on the other hand, does not like Bebel’s environmental commitment at all, especially because the girl sweeps the whole class along with her ideas and questions the popularity of her classmate. Rochane’s father, the big businessman Dr Jorge, finances the school with generous donations. His cosmetics company is largely responsible for the townʼs growth and prosperity. However, rumours circulate that animal experiments are being carried out on stray dogs in Dr Jorge’s laboratory. When Bebel learns of this, she immediately decides that the kidnapped dogs must be freed.
