German title: Latte Igel und der magische Wasserstein
The forest animals suffer from a terrible water shortage. Their brook has dried up and now, to make matters worse, hedgehog girl Latte and Tjum the squirrel have broken the pumpkin, which contained their last water supplies, in a fight. Bear king Bantur is to blame for the drought because he stole the magic water stone. Well, this is what tousled Korp the raven claims. Nobody in the forest believes him, except hedgehog girl Latte. She courageously embarks on a dangerous search for the water stone to bring it back to the White Mountain summit. Fearful Tjum secretly follows her because he has a guilty conscience and is worried about Latte. The two experience many dicey adventures. They have to escape from a mordacious lynx and greedy wolves and almost die of thirst. In spite of the many dangers that are all around, the two very dissimilar animal children come into conflict again and again. Until they finally face giant bear king Bantur and his cronies...
