Martin and the Magical Forest
Original title: Mazel a tajemství lesa
German title: Martin und das Geheimnis des Waldes
Eleven-year-old Martin has no desire to spend his holidays in a forest camp. Nature and adventures of practising survival in the wilderness are not for him. He would rather sit at his computer or play on his smartphone. Besides, it annoys him that he has to travel together with his new stepbrother and his friends. When he arrives at the camp, Martin hides his mobile phone, even though everyone is supposed to hand it in, and shirks from every duty. When he calls his mother to ask her to pick him up, his phone is confiscated, and he is thrown into the lake as a punishment. At the next night watch, Martin runs away. On his way, he discovers mysterious little forest spirits who seem to need his help. They are tufts of grass, twigs, and roots that take him to a nearby mountain where there is a huge drilling rig. Ground drilling for rare minerals has begun there. But these boreholes have already dried up the creek and will destroy the habitat of the nature spirits. Unless someone can be found to stop the earthworks ...
