Tomorrow Somewhere by the Sea

It is the summer after high school graduation. For a long time, there has been dead air between Konrad and his best school friend Romy. Now, all of a sudden, he invites her on a road trip to Lisbon – make amends, so to speak. After a moment’s consideration, Romy agrees, but on condition that her new lover Julian can come along. Julian, however, has to promise his parents that he will reflect on his future during the trip. In return, he is allowed to borrow his fatherʼs Mercedes. There are some discords at the beginning of the journey. Right from the start, Julian is jealous of Konrad as he senses that the two of them are closely connected by something unusual from the past. And he has noticed as well that Romy is secretly sending someone voicemails. Then Nele, a hitchhiker, joins them. She is looking for her father. Konrad is annoyed. Not only is Nele constantly taking pictures and clinging to him, he mainly fears she might thwart his secret plan. He has something very important to sort out with Romy, after all.
