Arnold Cautious and the Happiness Stone
Original title: Antero Varovainen ja onnenkivi
German title: Arnold Achtsam und der Stein des Glücks
Bright-minded Julius loves to immerse himself in the adventurous world of his favourite comic’s vampire story. The fact that he will be starting school in a few weeks is therefore not nearly as interesting to him as the mysterious figure who has taken up residence in an abandoned house nearby. While his sister Ilona only rolls her eyes at his vivid imagination and there is a strained atmosphere between his parents, Julius befriends the frightening stranger. He sleeps in a freezer, loves strawberry juice and finally introduces himself as Arnold Cautious, the offspring of a vampire family. A mysterious potion has freed him from his vampire traits, so now he can do various jobs by day. He tells the boy about the Happiness Stone, which promises its bearers felicity. This is just what Julius’ parents need at the moment. Without further ado, Arnold and Julius start making the magic stone, an undertaking that proves to be not the only adventurous and tricky one.
