Original title: Sirocco et le Royaume des courants d’air
German title: Sirocco und das Königreich des Windes
Agnes is the author of a popular fantasy book series about infamous Sirocco, the lord of the winds. She is currently working hard on the latest volume when she is supposed to look after her best friend’s daughters. Completely overtired from writing all night, she asks the two sisters to occupy themselves with her books for half an hour while she herself takes a rest. Promptly five-year-old Juliette and her older sister Carmen are drawn into one of the stories. In the shape of cats, they find themselves in the kingdom of the winds. Enthralled, they look around the breathtaking world they know only too well from Agnesʼ stories. At a rally of the mayor, they accidentally destroy his gift for Selma, a famous opera diva, whose big performance is about to start. The mayor is furious and designates Juliette as the replacement gift, while Carmen is to marry his unpopular son. Selma, however, proves to be generous and frees the two girls. Together they set off in search of Sirocco, the lord of the winds. For he is the only one who can help Juliette and Carmen return to their world.
