Chicken for Linda!
Original title: Linda veut du poulet!
German title: Linda will Hühnchen!
Seemingly scribbled but artful stick figures, together with dazzlingly beguiling splashes of colour, reveal the chaos caused by mother Paulette’s lost ring, a gift from her late husband. Since she mistakenly blamed her daughter Linda and sent the child to her sister Astrid as a punishment, she is now plagued by a guilty conscience and has to keep a promise made to Linda: cooking paprika chicken, her father’s favourite dish. But there is a general strike today, all supermarkets are closed and there is no chicken to be found. A turbulent hunt for a chicken begins, and eventually a chicken farm is robbed. This brings the police and all sorts of characters to the scene. A little later at home, Paulette struggles to slaughter the animal still alive, put it into the pot and cook the delicious dish. In the end, the whole neighbourhood is involved in the turmoil and – of course – they drink, cook and celebrate together.
