Princes of the Desert
Original title: Zodi & Téhu, frères du désert
German title: Zodi und Tehu, Brüder der Wüste
In the desert, twelve-year-old Zodi discovers an orphaned dromedary foal. From then on, the nomadic boy lovingly cares for the animal, which he names Tehu. He takes it in, feeds it, and Tehu quickly becomes his best friend. According to the veterinarian Julia, the young dromedary is an outstanding runner. Tehu can therefore bring in a lot of money for the nomadic tribe Zodi lives in. But Tarek, the poacher of the region, is also interested in the foal because of its excellent qualities. To protect Tehu, the twelve-year-old boy flees with it through the Sahara, a sandstorm and the big salt sea. Zodi never loses sight of his big goal. He wants to sign Tehu up for the worldʼs biggest dromedary race in Abu Dhabi. The future of his tribe also depends on the success of his mission. He receives support from Julia. But Tarek is hot on the heels of the unequal friends.
