Oliver's Universe

Winter 1985: Young Oliver and his family are forced to move in with his grandfather Gabriel because his father is broke. Everything is new for the nervous and insecure boy: school, neighbourhood, moods swinging back and forth, and his parents always fight. But Oliver has a boundless imagination. Daydreams about the universe give him comfort. Together with his eccentric grandfather, who is called “weirdo” by everyone, he prepares for the arrival of comet Halley, which is supposed to pass by in the next few days. They build a kind of rocket car for it. Timing could not be better because this is not only a joint adventure for both of them, Oliver also sees a message for positive change in the stars. He gets the chance to solve his problems, discovers true friendship and falls in love. Most importantly, he slowly but surely realises how the adult world works and learns to deal with the complexities of daily life.
