Three Chemnitz students went to sunny Italy a few days ago. There, Emily, Sophia and Aven were part of the +16 jury of the 53rd Giffoni Film Festival. Together with numerous young people from Italy and other European countries, they spent a week watching and evaluating international films for their age group. In the process, they also got to talk to the filmmakers and got to know the other international jury members better.

After exciting hours in the cinema, there were also other things on the agenda of the three Chemnitz students. The Giffoni Film Festival included workshops, interviews and concerts every evening by Italian artists who invited the audience to listen, dance and sing along.

The SCHLiNGEL has been cooperating with the Giffoni Film Festival for many years, which is why not only young people from Chemnitz have the chance to travel to Giffoni, but also Italians come to us, for example in the Fair Play Jury
