Rocca
Original title: Rocca verändert die Welt
German title: Rocca verändert die Welt
“If I was afraid of something, would it do any good?” asks adventurous, always cheerful Rocca. The eleven-year-old does not let anyone talk her into anything; she only trusts her mind and her heart. The girl, whose mother died during childbirth, grew up in the ESA Space Centre in Kazakhstan, where her father was trained as an astronaut. Now he has set off on his first mission into space – to heaven, as he says, to meet Rocca’s mother. Rocca therefore is to stay with her grandmother Dodo in Hamburg for a while. She is received quite dismissively there as Dodo has not overcome the fact that she lost her daughter because of Rocca. So her granddaughter cannot talk about her adventures or about Klichko, her sick squirrel. The nimble animal frightens her grandmother to much an extent she accidentally falls and is taken to hospital. Now Rocca has to master her life in the villa all by herself. But that's not all: the fearless girl begins to fight for justice at school and in the streets of Hamburg.
