After her uncleʼs death, self-confident Anna inherits his run-down dental practice and moves to the Moravian town of Medov. Warmly welcomed by young Karel, she quickly learns that she is unwelcome among some of the residents. For the time being, there are no patients, as there is already a dentist in town. In addition, there is a rumour in the small town that the inherited house is haunted. But Anna does not want to give up the dentistʼs practice. A group of children helps her to get it back into shape. In her uncleʼs greenhouse, the young woman finally meets a mysterious gardener who points out a miraculous plant to her. She uses it to make an ointment. Word quickly spreads that Anna has found a miracle cure for pain during dental treatment. More and more men, women and children venture into her practice. But a small group of residents have other interests and hatch a plan to get rid of Anna once and for all.
