White Snake: Afloat

The white snake demon Xiao Bai – also known as Blanca – spends her time with her sister Xiao Qing – Verta – in the historic metropolis of Hangzhou. In human form, they immerse themselves in the colourful hustle and bustle of the city. Blanca believes she recognises the reincarnation of her former great love Xu Xuan from over 500 years ago in one of the young residents. It is Dr. Xu Xian, a successful doctor. The two fall in love again, marry and build a thriving medical practice with an associated pharmacy. Blanca hides her existence as a demon from her husband and really just wants to live a normal and happy life as a mortal among mortals. But the shadows of the past keep catching up with her, and she must repeatedly use her magical powers as the „white snake“ in secret to fight other demons. Finally, the mysterious monk Referend Fahai from Jinschan Temple appears, putting Blancaʼs family in great danger. The notorious demon hunter is not squeamish in his choice of methods and likes to use demons as weapons in his fight.
