Welcome to Mulberry Street in Durban, South Africa. A small Indian community has been living there for decades. Actually a very nice and safe place – provided you adapt or are protected. Harold Baboo and his father Dev Singh have to learn this the hard way when they move from Johannesburg to Durban after the mother died. They are threatened by infamous gangster Raja. At the same time Baboo meets Ticky, the boy next door, and his family. Ticky is wild, cheeky and lives in a dream world. His great role models are the heroes from Bollywood movies. Baboo on the other hand is rather introverted, well educated and studies a lot. Ticky comes from a poor background, Baboo from a wealthy family. They could not be more dissimilar. Nevertheless, they befriend each other and discover their common passion for freaky adventures. But the biggest one is yet to come. Like their movie heroes, full of courage and with an extra portion of humor, they take on the fight against nasty gangster Raja. But the hard reality of life is not a Bollywood movie.
