SCHLiNGEL final attracts to Zwickau
On 8 December, the time had finally come and it was SCHLiNGEL time once again in Zwickau. We were able to show the German version of LAMPO - THE TRAVELING DOG, this year's winner of the European Children's Film Award and the Award of the Children's Jury, for the first time in front of a sold-out audience. The audience could look forward to a family film and the friendship between the girl Zuzia and the lovable white sheepdog Lampo, who loves nothing more than travelling across the country by train.
As expected for the SCHLiNGEL, the film events were of course also moderated. Our moderator Linda Drescher got talking to the many young viewers. Our festival director Michael Harbauer and Anja Dittrich from our team were also on site at the Filmpalast Astoria in Zwickau.
Director Magdalena Nieć's production celebrated its German premiere at the SCHLiNGEL film festival in Chemnitz back in September. There, the film in the original Polish language about the four-legged friend delighted the young audience and won two awards, the European Children's Film Award presented by the European Children's Jury and the Award of the Children's Jury.
The SCHLiNGEL in Zwickau is sponsored by the Vogtland-Zwickau cultural region and the cultural department of the city of Zwickau and is supported by Volksbank Chemnitz e.G. with its office in Zwickau. An earlier version of the SCHLiNGEL film festival took place in Zwickau from 22 to 25 September. At the end of the year, one of the winning films, LAMPO - THE TRAVELING DOG was shown once again in the Swan City just in time for Christmas.
