Film Festival startet with Stanley's Tiffin Box
On Monday the 16th International Film Festival for Children and Young Audience SCHLINGEL has started in the attendance of the State Minster for Science and the Arts, Prof. Sabine Freifrau von Schorlemer, and the Lord Mayor of the City of Chemnitz, Barbara Ludwig, with the German premiere of the Indian production Stanley's Tiffin Box. Until Sunday altogether 146 films from 38 countries will be shown – including three World Premiers, one International, three European and 25 German Premiers.
About 270 enthusiasts watched the opening film in a sold out auditorium. Director Amole Gupte, producer Deep Bhatia and main actor Partho Gupte answered many questions and wrote autographs. After the opening ceremony the festival team organised a children’s party where the topic of the film was picked up by a journey through different dishes from all over the world.
