Film Festival SCHLINGEL was visiting Khanty-Mansiysk
At 20 degrees below zero, SCHLINGEL-chief Michael Harbauer and Programme Advisor Dr. Volker Petzold travelled to Khanty-Mansiysk, where they presented German movies at the Russian Film Festival „Duch ognja“ (Spirit of fire). For the first time in the festivals history the team was instigating a “Club for Children’s and Youth Films ”“ Your Cinema” for which SCHLINGEL was taken as a basis.
Michael Harbauer and Dr. Volker Petzold have brought along three feature films and eight animated ones, which have been screened during the last edition of the film festival SCHLINGEL in October 2011. Six of the eleven movies were Saxon productions.
The SCHLINGEL team was accompanied by the directors Jörg Herrmann („The Seventh Raven“), Christian Werner („Monika“, picture left) und Raimo O. Niemi from Finland („The Garbage Prince“). All of them were in great demand. Jörg Herrmann for example helped students building their own small silhouette figures.
