Director Michael Harbauer presents SCHLINGEL movies in France and Russia
At the moment festival director Michael Harbauer is visiting Europe and Russia to present SCHLINGEL movies abroad. In France the German films “The Sandman and the Lost Sand of Dreams”, “Here comes Lola!” and a programme of selected short films were screened. The intention of the cooperation between SCHLINGEL and the French film festival Ciné-Jeune de l’Aisne is to give French cineastes an understanding of the new German film.Some days later the SCHLINGEL-Matinee starts in Novosibirsk and in cinemas of the Moscow region. Altogether seven movies will be screened. The tour is supported by Goethe Institut and German Films. The titles screened in Saint-Quentin, Novosibirsk and Moscow mainly comes from SCHLINGEL’s ‘Focus Germany’ competition. Every year after the festival the organiser is going abroad with SCHLINGEL films to promote the German culture and to maintain the international collaboration in the field of culture.
