A new series of events brings films directly to the hospital and provides a change from everyday hospital life.

11 juries award 19 prizes valued all together at 64,000 Euro.

At a first meeting on 4 July in Kassel, more than 60 German film festivals joined forces to found a working group (AG) film festival.

Within SCHLINGEL „Made by You“ children and young people can submit their own 3,5 minutes film. The best films are going to run on screen at the 24. SCHLINGEL Film Festival.

SCHLINGEL is visiting South Korea. We are currently at the film festival BIKY 부산국제어린이청소년영화제 in Busan and present the German Focus with 4 movies, including a short film programme.

YEAH! Our project YOUNG URBAN CINEMA (YoUCi) is nominated for the Media Competence Award 2019. Tomorrow we will be part of the award ceremony in Leipzig!

Visiting Vietnam - in cooperation with Goethe-Institut Hanoi we present the "German Film Festival SCHLINGEL 2019".

From festivals to schools - at the 2nd International Forum "Fest of Fests" in Athens we are discussing about the topics film literacy & school education - using the example of our project Young Urban Cinema.

Like last year we are providing a jury for the EFA Young Audience Award.

The conference will give the opportunity for an intensive exchange of ideas in form of case studies and working groups on upcoming possibilities of distribution ways.

Bringing the Big Screen to Smaller Viewers – in cooperation with eins, we also offer children and teenagers in the Chemnitz area the best film enjoyment.

Togehter with Goethe-Institut Taschkent we present the 6. edition of „SHUM BOLA“. It’s the only film festival for children and young audiences in Central Asia.

2 years ago we saw it on SCHLINGEL‘s big screen.

During the last days we presented together with director @Markus Dietrich the movie "Invisible Sue" at @FIFEM in Montréal.

And the winner is …  We are on the road again, this time as jury members of two festivals.

SCHLINGEL presents the German focus at the MICE Film Festival, with nine films.

At the beginning of February we had to say goodbye to one of the most important pioneers of the Czech fairy tale film, Václav Vorlíček. It makes me sad, but I am full of wonderful memories. He remains a great director and a dear friend.

Tomorrow the 69^th Berlin International Film Festival begins. SCHLINGEL, the Chemnitz-based International Film Festival for Children and Young Audiences, will also be there to watch films for this year's festival edition, initiate new projects and hold talks with international partners and filmmakers.

Did you know... it's French-German Day?! Every year we celebrate our bilateral relations with the help of Cinéfête, a French School Film Festival, that we organize in Central Germany.
