SCHLINGEL Director Michael Harbauer as Jury Member with a Film Festival in France

On the weekend, the 28th International Film Festival for Youth „Ciné-Jeune de l’Aisne“ in French Saint-Quentin awarded the prize for the best children and youth film; and a Chemnitzer was involved in the decision making process.

Winners of the 15th SCHLINGEL Festival Determined

With a festive award ceremony on Saturday evening, the 15th International Film Festival for Children and Young Audiences SCHLINGEL reached its climax. For one week seven juries were spoilt with choices, from which they picked their favourites.

Festival report day 3

The International Film Festival for Children and Young Audience starts today with the International Premiere of the Czech fairy tale of Theodor Storm “The Rain Fairy”. In attendance of director Milan Cieslar, the movie fascinates more than 200 viewers and is therefore one of the most crowded presentations.

Festival report day 1

The 15th edition of the International Film Festival for Children and Young Audience started this morning with the German Premiere of the Dutch movie „The Indian“ in presence of the vice president of the Saxon State Parliament, Andrea Dombois, head of the Art department of the State Ministry of Sciences and the Arts, Thomas Früh, as well as the major of Chemnitz, Miko Runkel.

15th SCHLINGEL brings international Films to Chemnitz

The 15th annual International Film Festival for Children and Young Audiences SCHLINGEL will open on September 27, 2010 with the German premiere of the Dutch production “De Indiaan” (“The Indian”) from director Ineke Houtman.

Volksbank is Main Sponsor of the SCHLINGEL Film Festival

The International Film Festival for Children and Young Audience has a new main sponsor. For the first time the Volksbank Chemnitz eG will be present at the 15th edition of the festival from 27th September to 3rd October 2010.
