Twelve-year-old Veysel fled to Austria with his KurdishTurkish family and has lived in Vienna for a few months. His father, a guerrilla fighter, spent years in prison, his mother had to raise him and his older, now 18-yearold brother Mazlum, on her own. Here in Vienna, everything should be better now. But their father is usually at work, and their mother is on her own again having to face major problems in the new environment.
