Once again, Jana has overstepped her limits and has to be taken to hospital with emergency lights flashing. The 17-year-old has a congenital heart defect and urgently needs to “shift down into first gear”. This is what her doctor thinks, who also recommends another operation. But while the doctors as well as her mother consider this new surgical method as a chance, Jana refuses it vehemently. Not even her friend Sami suffering from a heart condition himself can persuade her. Then Jana meets wild, untamed thoroughbred stallion “Rock My Heart”, who cannot even be tamed by his coach, old and highly indebted racing stable owner Paul Brenner. When Rock My Heart trustingly approaches the girl and allows himself to be led by her, Brenner schemes a plan: Jana is to ride the stallion at the Rheingold Cup and win the prize money of 100,000 Euros to save his farm. When he starts training her as a rider, he has no idea of Jana’s disease. And she carefully keeps her secret, although the training is hard and only endurable without beta-blockers.
