The Elfkins - Baking a Difference
Original title: Die Heinzels - Rückkehr der Heinzelmännchen
German title: Die Heinzels - Rückkehr der Heinzelmännchen
For 200 years the Elfkins have been living under the pavement of Cologne. To this day, they have not forgotten the sneaky act of the curious seamstress with her peas. “Humans are mean, ungrateful and far too tall” say the Elfkins, preferring to accept darkness. But cheeky, somewhat chaotic Elfkin girl Helvi finds it pitch-dark and dead boring down there. She would love to learn a real trade in the human world. Especially when she finds a picture of a man with a garden gnome. Human beings cannot be that bad! When Helvi secretly sets off, she is surprised by good-natured Butz and annoying Elfkin boy Kipp. They join her – one voluntarily, the other enforcedly. After arriving in the human world, the three meet bad-tempered confectioner Theo, who used to be well known for his homemade cathedral tartlets and is now facing bankruptcy. When Helvi nibbles on the tartlets, she immediately knows that she wants to become a cake baker and help Theo out of his misery.
