Nelly's Adventure

13-year-old Nelly cannot really impress her friends by telling them she will spend her holidays together with her parents in Transylvania. To make matters worse, at their arrival in the Romanian city of Sibiu she learns that the family will move there in October. She is absolutely furious because her father Robert, an engineer who will build windmills in Transylvania, did not tell her about this before. Inflamed with rage, Nelly runs off and explores the alien city on her own. She has no idea that she is pursued by two gangsters. The Roma Hokus and Iancu are to kidnap the girl on behalf of the German entrepreneur Wagner. Unscrupulous Wagner is afraid the wind turbines might endanger his huge dam project, and he therefore wants to intimidate Robert. But first Nelly has other things to worry about. Two Roma children steal her wallet, and shortly thereafter Hokus and Iancu manage to abduct her to a Roma village. There Nelly meets the two thieves, the siblings Roxana and Tibi, again and befriends them. Will they help her escape?
