Lauras Star and the Mysterious Dragon Nian

Little Laura is very excited. She will fly to China with her parents. Her mother is to give a concert with a Chinese musician in the big Beijing Opera house. Laura and dad will be sitting in the audience - and with them, of course, her favourite friend, the star. But soon there are problems. For safety reasons, the star is not allowed on the plane. So it has to fly alongside and meet Laura again in Beijing. But the star gets into a big black cloud, loses its power and falls down. Little Ling-Ling finds it. As she often feels alone, she is pleased about this extraordinary friend and takes the star with her. But the star wants to return to Laura. It flies to Beijing opera house with Ling-Ling. When the two girls meet, there is a dispute over the star, whose magic dust brings a mythical creature to life. It is Nian - half dog, half dragon. According to the legend, it will ascend to the sky in New Year's night and extinguish all the stars. Only Laura and Ling-Ling can avert the disaster.
