In 1986, Niels moves after his parents’ divorce with his mum Hanne to a municipality not far from the nuclear power station-building site. For Hanne it is a step to a new world. But Niels feels unwell in this unusual surrounding area. When Hanna has a liaison with Peter, the guru of the municipality, Niels rebels. With the news of the reactor accident in Chernobyl suddenly the nuclear threat is getting real. Niels realizes that he is not born to be revolutionary.
