Rufus - The Sea Serpent Who Couldn't Swim
Rufus is an outsider among sea monsters because he cannot swim. But he has a big heart. The sea monsters living on his island are very much afraid of ships that might discover their island. Fortunately, their hero, the half-dragon, scares them away with his fog-spraying breath. When the dragon’s magical scarf dissolves and he gets a sore throat, the island is no longer safe from humans. Rufus sets off on an adventure in a whale taxi. His destination is Scotland, where his aunt Bessi lives, whom he wants to ask for a new scarf. On his journey, he is locked up in a zoo, but manages to free himself and reaches Bessi in time. However, the director is still hot on Rufus’ heels. Finally, Rufus manages to rescue all the animals from the zoo and lets his new friends escape in the whale taxi. He himself does not make it in time and loses the scarf. In order to return home, a friend teaches him how to swim. But time is pressing, for only Rufus can avert the impending disaster that threatens his island.
