Seeds
Shaira lives with her big brother Andrey and her grandfather on a farm in Colombia. Just like Andrey, she dreams of participating in coleo. Coleo is a sport in which riders on horseback chase cattle down a narrow corridor and try to bring them down. When Andrey is killed in a riding accident one day, she wants to ride the horse she loves. But her grandfather decides to sell the animal. He wants to use the money to pay off his debts to the farm owner, Don Aparicio. He tells his granddaughter that some clouds take the shape of animals because the sky captures them and only releases them when it rains. Shaira then sets out in search of special seeds for her maracas, her rumba rattles, which can make the sky rain again and thus bring her horse back.
