Beanie
Original title: Kapa
German title: Mütze
Erik is nine years old and a quiet, introverted boy. He lives in a childrenʼs home because his parents cannot care for him. His nickname is “Beanie” because he wears a somewhat old-fashioned knitted cap day and night. That is why he is bullied by the older boys in the home. Yet now Erik has hit the jackpot! At least thatʼs what his carer thinks. Erik is allowed to celebrate Christmas with a wealthy family. But when he is picked up by a strange woman and her seven-year-old daughter Luèka, he immediately gets into trouble. Luèka asked Santa for a puppy and a little sister, but not for a boy who is so strange and won’t take his hat off. Erik is not happy with his jackpot either, since he had wanted to spend Christmas at home with his parents. When he discovers Father Christmas rumbling in the living room at night, he wants to confront him. Together with Luèka, he follows him into his car. But Santa has other things on his mind than giving presents to children, so Erik and Luèka embark on a holiday full of adventures.
