Additional Information

14-year-old Leigh lives with her dad on the outskirts of Brighton. She is a talented gymnast and is about to start her first major competition. But due to the sudden death of her mum, she loses an extremely important support. Moreover, strong self-doubts make it difficult for her to deal with people. Leigh's careless and overburdened father is not much help either. He is too preoccupied with himself to realise what pressure his daughter is under. One day, when her older half-brother turns up, Leigh’s life seems to be turned upside down. She is totally unsuspecting when she meets Joe, who is heavily burdened with his own problems. He has been kicked out of his home, has difficulties in adapting and illegally deals in motorbikes. Nevertheless, it seems as if Leigh and Joe had searched and found each other. Thus, after initial difficulties, fellowship develops between the two, which comforts them when facing the insecure family situation.
