Phantom Owl Forest
Original title: Eia jõulud Tondikakul
German title: Zaubereulenwald
Eia is disappointed: her parents are very busy and have no time for her, even at Christmas. Instead, they send the ten-year-old to her grandfather, who lives in an eerie forest and whom she has never met before. But instead of becoming a horror story, Eia’s Christmas holidays become a fairy tale: legendary phantom owl lives in the forest. Together with her new friends, including a sophisticated nature photographer, she wants to protect the animal because evil Raivo threatens to cut down his part of the forest. Only if Eia and her friends manage to photograph the rare bird they will have a proof they can present to the nature conservation authority. But the phantom owl secret is not the only one Eia reveals during her Christmas holidays. What separates her father and grandfather to such an extent they still cannot talk to each other? Eia realises that being able to condone disappointments now and then can be a great opportunity.
