Microbe & Gasoline
Original title: Microbe et Gasoil
German title: Mikro & Sprit
14-year-old Daniel is called Microbe because he's so skinny. Much worse, he is often mistaken for a girl. In fact, Daniel just wants to be like the others: bold, confident and popular with the girls of his class. When confident Theo joins the class, he becomes his desk neighbor and immediately befriends Daniel. Theo’s nickname is Gasoline because he constantly tinkers with car engines and therefore always slightly smells of gasoline. Shortly before the summer holidays, Theo has the idea of building a car from scrap in order to drive across France and enjoy the freedom with his friend. Microbe is excited; they really manage to secretly assemble a functioning automobile. But it does not receive approval for use on public roads. So Microbe and Gasoline need to come up with something else: they build a wooden house with a door and windows on the chassis for camouflage, and off they go, starting an adventurous journey!
