My Fathers' Daughter
Original title: Biru Unjárga
German title: Meiner Väter Tochter
15-year-old Elvira lives with her mother Beate and her motherʼs girlfriend Rita in Unjárga in the north of Norway. Based on the fact that Beate gave birth to her in a clinic in Copenhagen, Elvira is convinced that her father must be the Danish actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. She hopes that one day she will be able to escape the world of the Sámi, meet her father and lead a more exciting life than the one in Unjárga. However, a man suddenly appears in front of her at the petrol station and introduces himself as Terje, her father. Although her mother vehemently refuses to allow Elvira and Terje to make contact and build a relationship, the young woman approaches him. Confronted with the fact that she is now a fully-fledged Sámi, she tries to find her identity and encounters several problems in the process. One of them is Margrethe, an influencer with 30,000 followers, who uses Elviraʼs life as an incentive to generate even more followers and likes.
