When the Light Breaks

Slightly eccentric art student Una is in love with her fellow student Diddi. Having only recently become a couple, they are enjoying their time together, making plans and dreaming of travelling after graduation. But there is one small problem – Diddiʼs long-time girlfriend Klara. One evening, however, he promises Una that he will break up with Klara for good and take the next plane home. But the clarifying discussion between Diddi and Klara never happens because at dawn he has a fatal accident in the car he had to use instead of the cancelled plane. Everyone is completely shocked: Diddiʼs closest friends Gunna, who plays in a band with Diddi and is also Una’s flatmate, Siggi and, of course, the suddenly appearing Klara. But Una is hit the hardest. In the course of one long summer’s day, her life is turned completely upside down. But her secret love and her conscience do not allow Una to express her true feelings. While all members of the clique comfort Klara, Una remains alone with her grief for the time being.
