Overweight Leonore doesnʼt have it easy – neither at school nor at home in the presence of her exercise - and diet-addicted mum Rachel. She is constantly insecure. Her hobby – fashion design – adds to her problems. At the suggestion of her teacher, Leonore is supposed to work on a presentation - together with Kayla, of all people, an extroverted and very self-confident classmate who is also overweight. But Kaylaʼs bold way of being honest with others enables Lenore to showcase her passion for unconventional clothes in public and gain self-confidence. Together with a group of new friends, who are all struggling with their own difficulties, Leonore takes part in a fashion competition. But the initial enthusiasm is short-lived. Envious classmate Sylvie gets wind of the project and does everything in her power to sabotage it. However, Lenore makes it clear that loving her own body is a radical act. And she receives increasing support from her father, her friends and her teacher.
