Speak Out
Original title: Cococolin
German title: Co-Co-Colin
After his parentsʼ painful divorce, 14-year-old Colin moves to a new town with his overprotective mother. Colin finds it difficult to get used to his new surroundings and to the classmates at his new school. It’s not easy for a teenager to move from the world of childhood to the world of adults anyway. It is particularly difficult when you are ‘different’. Colin suffers from a speech disorder that manifests itself as a stammer and he therefore remains an outsider. That could change when David Devarseau enters his life. The charismatic French teacher uses unorthodox methods and decides to stage a play about Cyrano de Bergerac. Is this the chance Colin needs to rise above himself? He takes the risk and volunteers. But the young teacherʼs unconventional approach is not only met with approval by the schoolʼs conservative teaching staff.
