Thelma's Perfect Birthday

Little penguin girl Thelma lives with her parents in the cold world of ice. She dreams of a great party with friends and family on her fifth birthday. Her traditional parents show little understanding, but Thelma is not discouraged and decides to take her fate into her own hands. She writes a letter to her friends, Vilhelm the cat and Sofia the mouse, who live in the distant Great Forest. When Thelma unexpectedly finds herself in a mail rocket, an adventurous journey begins. Once she arrives in the Great Forest, she encounters a life full of colour, warmth and acceptance. Vilhelm and Sofia give her a warm welcome and show her that individuality and friendship can enrich life. Together they set off so Thelma can return on time for her birthday. She learns a lot about herself and realises that she can make her dreams come true without losing her roots. Back in Iceland, she realises that not only the world around her has changed, but she has changed too.
