Max and the Wild Bunch: The Ghostly Granny

Ten-year-old Max has made some great friends at his new home, Geroldseck castle retirement home. They are the coolest gang in the world and sit at table number 7 in the dining room, which is why they call themselves the Wild Bunch number 7. They include Vera, an old actress who loves to reminisce, Horst, a former football coach, and Kilian, who everyone just calls ‘Professor’. Once again, the gang of senior citizens has to solve a criminal case because the castle is haunted. Above all, spooky noises and calls for ‘Engelhardt’, a former admirer of Vera’s, are coming from her wall. But the professor knows that ghosts do not exist, so the four of them try to solve the mysterious riddle. Max, however, has to face another challenge. He is being bullied in his class and then excluded from the football team by sports teacher Ströhle. Without further ado, Horst and other pensioners form the ‘Wacker-Wacker-Alte-Knacker’ team to challenge Maxʼs school team. If the old geezers win, Max can take part in the long-awaited match for the town championship cup.
