Greetings from Mars

German title: Grüße vom Mars
Tom is ten years old and pretty special. He doesn’t like the colour red at all, nor does he like round tables, and it’s far too noisy for him on earth anyway. He would love to go to Mars as an astronaut because everything is quiet there. Above all, Tom needs very strict rules in his life. These are thrown into disarray when he and his siblings are supposed to spend four long weeks with their grandparents in Lunau because his mother has to travel to China for an important assignment. But Tom hasn’t seen Grandma and Grandpa for a long time and panics. “If you can do this,” says his mother, “then you’ll make it to Mars”. So Tom treats this challenge as astronaut training, packs his spacesuit and important research documents, and divides up the tasks among his siblings. Sister Nina is the perfect radio operator and brother Elmar is appointed first officer. After all, nothing is too dangerous for him. Together with his siblings, Tom sets out on his first “space mission” and faces the unfamiliar conditions on “Planet Lunau”.
