Block 5

Alma wants to stand up for environmental protection, just like her mother, who disappeared on an expedition some time ago. When the twelve-year-old moves to a new neighbourhood with her father, she finds it difficult to make new friends, not to mention the cheeky and mean-spirited Luna and her skater gang. Unexpectedly, Almaʼs fatherʼs architecture firm decides to build a new car park on the site of the block of flats and to demolish the surrounding trees and skate park. The children donʼt like this at all, and for better or worse they have to join forces to save their open spaces. In the process, new alliances and friendships are formed. In this dispute, Alma repeatedly comes into conflict with her father, who obeys his boss Brabec unconditionally. The neighbours are also annoyed by the rebellion of the small group of children. When they are caught protesting and get into a lot of trouble, their plan seems to fail for good. But Alma and her new friends donʼt give in so easily and make new plans in their secret hideaway. Unexpectedly, they also find new allies.
