Bittersweet Sixteen

Being almost sixteen is the most beautiful and perhaps also the worst time in life. Fifteen-year-old Lotte and her clique learn the limits of friendship when they come into conflict with the most popular girl in school, Astrid. Astridʼs group, the A-girls, attract everyone’s attention as they walk the corridors and are the attraction of every party. This arouses jealousy on both sides, and Lotte seeks revenge for an earlier betrayal. On top of that, Lotte’s friend Fleur joins the A-s instead of Lotte after surviving cancer. Then Lotte’s mother falls in love with Astrid’s mother, of all people! It all comes down to Lotte’s sixteenth birthday, which she wants to celebrate by throwing a huge party. In the midst of lamas, a baby and exploding beer barrels, Lotte embarks on an emotional rollercoaster ride searching for love, respect, recognition and true friendship.
