Charlie Cooper - The Egg Mystery

Almost all the men in Berend’s family were captains – except her father. He quickly gets seasick and therefore sails the seas of the world only virtually. Berend also wants to go to sea later. Then something incredible happens! Together with her friend Teus, she finds a mysterious egg with a light blue grain. It is so huge it could be a dinosaur egg. But before Berend can show it to her grandfather, the mayor has confiscated the find and is now displaying it under a red light lamp in the town hall. Grandfather, however, thinks that this is a very rare egg and cannot be hatched under the given conditions. It must be taken to a hidden island, which is washed around by the warm ocean current and where a light wind blows. Grandfather would like to take it there, but he feels too old for this adventure. So what is to be done? In a courageous action, Berend and Teus smuggle the egg out of the town hall and then put to sea in grandfather’s cutter.
