The Strangest Girl in the World
Original title: La chica más rara del mundo
German title: Das außergewöhnlichste Mädchen der Welt
15-year-old Melién lives alone with her mother and receives support from her grandfather, who runs an antiquarian bookshop in town. As a passionate drawer, she constantly develops her stories, even during lessons at school. Time and again, she is attracted by the abandoned, haunted house in the neighbourhood, which inspires her greatly. For her drawn characters are anything but colourful and pleasing; they appear grotesque and monstrous. Bullied by her classmates for simply being different, Melién drifts off further and further into her fantasy world. As part of a school project, she is finally forced to work together with her classmates. Thus, she has to overcome her shyness in front of others, and can finally convince her group of the idea to film her story in the haunted house. But Melién’s arch-enemy Tamara tries to take revenge on her and sabotage the film project. Melién’s monster suddenly comes to life and attacks the group.
