German title: Ein nasser Hund
When Soheil moves to Berlin Wedding with his family, he has a hard time settling in at first. Through his illegal graffiti, he can finally make new friends: members of the Wedding Tigers criminal gang led by Husseyn. Due to his appearance, Soheil is mistaken for an Arab and admitted to their club as their new brother. They are anti-Semitic, plan small gang fights and also a robbery of a Jewish jeweller’s shop. Soheil gets carried away by the group dynamics and denies his Jewish origins. He also falls in love with Selma, a Turkish girl from his school. But the pressure to keep his secret and deny his identity is growing. He gets deeper and deeper into a maelstrom of violence and lies, but the consequences of revealing his secret would be even worse. Soheil becomes increasingly unsure of who he actually is: “For the Arabs I'm a Jew, for the Germans I’m a Kanak, and for the Jews I'm a terrorist from Wedding.” Can he figure out his true self in the end?
