Pirates down the Street
Original title: De Piraten van Hiernaast
German title: Die Piraten von nebenan
The peaceful life in the small town Sandsborough gets turned upside down as the Blunderbuss family moor down the street. Together with their octopus Freddy and their Shark Roy they are on the run from the family’s arch enemy Crooked Cornelius. Hector, Betsie, son Billy and the grandfather finally want to start an honest life on land. A life far away from plunderings, rum soaked nights and wild adventures seems to be harder than expected in this conservative surrounding. But still Billy makes friends with Elizabeth and Michael, the kids next door. Also, Betsie and Hector get along quite well with the neighbourhood. Only grumpy Mr. Dudley wouldn’t accept the pirates down the street and he tries to get rid of them. With the appearance of crooked Cornelius and stealing the family’s treasure chest the situation is worsening. The attempt of making an honest living fails. Cornelius takes advantage of this opportunity and tries to convince the Blunderbuss to go with him, because he wants to lure the pirates back on the sea. But Michael and Elizabeth won’t let the gang go.
