Christmas at Cattle Hill

The little calf Klara lives with her mother in the city. This year, for the first time, Klara will spend Christmas with her father Mosk at Cattle Hill in the country. She is already dreaming of how they will bake ginger biscuits together, unwrap presents and sing Christmas carols. But Mosk has neither the time nor the inclination to celebrate. There are always more important things to do. First he has to deliver biscuits with Gaute, the little billy goat, and then Pauline, the pig-lady, urgently needs his help. She is snowed in and always looks forward to his company anyway. When Mosk arrives, an avalanche breaks loose from Cattle Hill, and they are both trapped in the house. Whether he likes it or not, Mosk has to spend the night at Pauline’s place. He is desperate, phones his daughter and promises her to organise everything for a cosy party the next day. But Klara does not want to wait any longer, especially since she has discovered a house elf in the barn, who is hiding from the humans there. By offering him a delicious rice pudding, she wants to persuade him to help her with the Christmas preparations. But the elf is hungry, very hungry!
