Noah is a guitarist and accompanies 90s pop singer Moniqa, who is also his mentor. Always the same concerts exhaust Noah. This is not how he had imagined his musical career. Without further ado, he quits the band and flies to Australia, where he sees his mother again after many years of absence. The meeting reopens old sores. Noah seeks distraction by meeting Finn, a young deaf transman. After some communication difficulties, they get closer through music. Noah supports Finn in his work at the local centre for the deaf community and learns Auslan, the Australian sign language. But Finn, who is still in the process of finding his true identity, and his unsolved problems increasingly overwhelm Noah, who has not yet found himself either.
